On Contending
The same Spirit Who raised Christ from the dead dwells in me. Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.
He is God. He changes not. I am healed because the Word says I’m healed. Not because I feel like it. My feelings are independent of truth. Smith Wigglesworth said, “I don’t ask Smith Wigglesworth how he feels. I tell him”.
After 40 years of wandering in the desert, I brought you into the land of the Amorites, who dwelt on the other side of the Jordan, and they fought with you. But, (I love the Buts) I gave them into your hand that you might possess the land, and I destroyed them from before you.
The Amorites had screamed at me, “You’ll never be anything…You can’t buy that house…You’re too green for this position…You’ll be back with nothing”!
But the Lord brought me into the Land and He destroyed those Amorite voices from before me. Let God be true and every man a liar. Bless the Lord.
There is a war to fight when you go in to take possession. Whose report am I going to believe? “Just sign the living will”. And by His stripes, I was healed. God’s Word is true.
The kingdom of God suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. “Most small businesses fail”. “Who do you think you are? You’re arrogant”. No, I’m the daughter of a King and I’m seated with Him in heavenly places. And the devil is under my feet. “Maybe God doesn’t want you to have it”. No, He wants me to fight for it. Contend. Stand.
