I’ve seen great men and women of God hosting His presence and power as one would wear an elegant suit. People of the world can spot wealth. People of God should be able to recognize the anointing in the pulpit or on the streets. God’s presence gives off a holy fragrance discernable in the spirit. I’ve seen great people of God carrying the anointing, wearing the garment of praise (for He inhabits our praises), walking in the glory, and hosting the presence of the God of the universe. We were designed to host His very presence, to be containers for Him. It is your choice of how much of God you want. Know that more of God means less of you.
Few will take the time to enter in- all the way into the Holy of Holies. Few are willing to trade their creature comforts and time for a life in the glory. Flesh is of the earth and does not walk in His presence. As the vestiges of our flesh die, the fullness of Christ arises in a greater measure in us, the hope of glory. Time is of the earth. One day it will end. My God inhabits eternity. Leave time and flesh at the door as much as you are able.
Lord, my flesh balks at this. Lead me into this place of Your presence, the Holy of Holies. For I cannot tame myself to subject my flesh to my spirit, or my spirit to Your Spirit, long enough to see You clearly, much less have Your oil dripping off of me. I cannot do this by myself! Help me, Holy Spirit- Come!
My flesh is refusing to die quietly. How stubborn I am! You will use this for Your glory, too. For I will not give up. You have made me an overcomer and promised that I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me. Oh, my Jesus! I trust You to lead me into that secret place and keep me there until I am no longer. Then keep me there for the joy of it.
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
Leviticus 8:12
And he poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron’s head and anointed him, to consecrate him.
Psalm 133:2-3
It is like the precious oil upon the head,
Running down on the beard,
The beard of Aaron,
Running down on the edge of his garments.
3 It is like the dew of Hermon,
Descending upon the mountains of Zion;
For there the Lord commanded the blessing—
Life forevermore.
Exodus 40:13-15
You shall put the holy garments on Aaron, and anoint him and consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest. 14 And you shall bring his sons and clothe them with tunics. 15 You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to Me as priests; for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.”
To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
And you shall hang the veil from the clasps. Then you shall bring the ark of the Testimony in there, behind the veil. The veil shall be a divider for you between the holy place and the Most Holy.
and behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of All,
Romans 8:5
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
Galatians 5:24
And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
1 John 2:16
For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
