Let us Watch and be Sober

When I was a young Christian, I ran after prophetic people. I loved the prophetic move of the Spirit. I’d get in line every time for prayer, a word from the Lord, a prophecy over me. Lay hands on me and give me some of that! I was wanting McDonald's service, instead of the line upon line, precept upon precept spiritual development that God ordained.

I was gullible and ended up hurt; conned and disillusioned more than once. There was not enough Word in me, yet, to keep me from being deceived. I was still a sense realm Christian. Then, the Lord spoke very clearly to me, “Get your own Wine and Oil”. He was saying, 'Learn to pray for yourself. Learn to hear My voice. Learn to follow My leading for yourself. Fill up your lamp with My Word and Spirit'. Wine and Oil. I started a journey then of truely seeking Him. I seek Your face, O lord, not Your hand.

Remember the foolish virgins whose lamps had gone out. Then there were those who were too busy to go to the wedding. And, some who tried to get in but were not dressed for the wedding. Cast into the "outer darkness". He has covered me with a robe of righteousness.

Will all “Christians” go up in the rapture or only those looking for it, expectantly waiting, while their master is away?  According to your faith, be it unto you. I am earnestly believing to be caught up to meet Him in the air.

Lord, let me not waste any more of this precious time that You have given me. I submit myself to You for Your use. Purified seven times in the fire. Purge out the dross in me. The self will of my flesh. No spots or wrinkles; I know The Blood is enough. I seek Your face, Jesus. This is the time. The time of separation of the wheat from the tares. The door is  about to open for the virgins with their full lamps. To enter in. I am watching for You, my Lord.

For when they (those carrying on as in the days of Noah, the scoffers, those earth walkers) say, “Peace and safety”, then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. (They haven’t seen anything yet). But you, brethren (us actively looking for Him), are not in darkness, so that this day should not overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore, let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober…For God did not appoint us to wrath.

Matthew 25:1-13

“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

“And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ 12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Matthew 22

And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said: “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.” ’ But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.’ 10 So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests.

11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. 12 So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. 13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
